The Syrian army has reportedly fired several surface-to-surface missiles at rebels, according to a report by Human Rights Watch. Israel Radio reported on Wednesday that the missiles have not previously been used in the ongoing Syrian civil war.

According to Human Rights Watch, the missiles are three times more powerful than the cluster bombs which Assad's forces have been using up to now.

Reportedly civilian deaths from missile attacks have included two and ten injured in the last two weeks.
