BBC journalists on strike over pension benefits

LONDON — A two-day journalists' strike over pension benefits forced the BBC Friday to cancel a number of its radio and television news broadcasts.

The National Union of Journalists set up picket lines Friday at BBC Television Center in west London and at other BBC locations throughout Britain.Some public affairs programs scheduled for Saturday were also canceled.
