Baby swallows pin connected to 'hamsa' crib decoration

A 10-month-old baby swallowed an open safety pin that had been connected to a “hamsa” decoration over his crib, it was reported on Sunday.
Doctors at Hillel Jaffe Medical Center in Hadera put the baby under general anesthesia and carefully managed to pull the pin out of his esophagus without him being harmed.
The case of an open safety pin stuck in the food tube in a baby of such a young age is rare, the hospital said.
