The Central Election Committee unilaterally voted to set its budget at NIS 241,746,000 for the 20th Knesset election.

The budget is NIS 5m. lower than the last election budget, which the committee, led by Supereme Court Justice Salim Jubran, said it managed by making efforts to be more efficient.

The amount is for organizing and holding the election and the committee's routine budget for all of 2015.

The budget will be brought to a vote in the Knesset Finance Committee next week.
