Chairman of World Likud, MK Danny Danon, told a group of Likud members that the party opposes the creation of a Palestinian state on Wednesday.

Danon told the group of Likud Anglos that despite Party Chairman and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's public position in support of a two-state solution, that the Likud party does not support such an idea. He pointed to a 2002 Likud party Central Committee resolution, which the prime minister initiated, opposing the creation of a Palestinian state.

It would be dangerous to live in Israel if a Palestinian were created, Danon said.
