Fares lawyers: Ashekanzi threatened to deepen investigation

The lawyers of IDF Brig.-Gen. Imad Fares argued during a hearing on his dismissal from the army at the Tel Aviv District Court that Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi threatened to deepen the investigation if he refused to retire.

The judge ruled that the IDF must turn over to the court all transcripts of conversations between Ashekanzi and Fares.
