Former MK Hanan Porat passed away on Tuesday at the age of 67. He died at home.

The former MK suffered from cancer, and was hospitalized on the eve of the Jewish New Year.

Porat served as a Knesset member for Tehiya, the National Religious Party, Tkuma, and the National Union during two time periods: from 1981 to 1984 and 1988 to 1999.
