Gilad Schalit went for medical checks at a hospital in central Israel on Tuesday morning.

He was accompanied by his parents Noam and Aviva.

Upon returning to Israel from Hamas captivity last week, the IDF announced that Gilad will undergo a series of comprehensive tests after the initial examination conducted on him.

It was found that he suffered from a slight injury in his hand caused by shrapnel, and vitamin deficiency as a result of not being exposed to sunlight.
