Gilad Schalit was found to be in good condition following initial medical examinations following his return to Israel on Tuesday, IDF spokesman Yoav Mordechai said.

Mordechai added that the transfer of prisoners to Gaza and the West Bank was continuing as the deal signed with Hamas dictated.

The IDF spokesperson added that Schalit was on his way to Tel Nof Air Force Base in central Israel, where he was scheduled to meet Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and IDF chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz. Schalit's parents were also waiting for him at Tel Nof.
