The IDF announced on Wednesday that it will provide Military Advocate- General Maj.-Gen. Avichai Mandelblit with security guards to protect him and guard his home after threatening graffiti was found outside his Petah Tikva home early in the morning.

The graffiti displayed the message "traitor" in several nearby neighborhood locations.

The acts of vandalism follow some condemnation of Mandelblit's decision to indict soldiers for crimes allegedly committed during Operation Cast Lead in 2009, in what was the most comprehensive legal action taken by Israel in the wake of the Goldstone Report
