IDF spokesman talks media, military with Chinese counterpart

IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Avi Benayahu hosted his Chinese counterpart Senior Colonel Huang Xueping on Monday at the Kirya Military Headquarters in Tel Aviv for a round of talks focusing on media and the military.

Xueping will visit Sderot as well as the Gaza border for a briefing with senior military commanders.

He will also lay a wreath at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Meanwhile, Israel Air Force Commander Maj.-Gen. Ido Nehushtan was awarded the Santos Dumont Medal of Merit from Brazil’s military attaché to Israel.

Three hundred of these medals have been awarded worldwide, three of them in Israel to commanders of the IAF, the Navy and the Ground Forces Command.
