The president of Haifa's Technion University said Sunday that a campaign of delegitimization is being waged against Israel in US universities.

Professor Peretz Lavie added in the interview with Israel Radio that it is the responsibility of top politicians and academics to give their opinion on this issue and defend Israel's image.

Professor Lavie said he will raise the issue at the next meeting of the Committee of University Chairmen.
