World Jewish Congress President Ron Lauder opened the Jerusalem Post Annual Conference on Sunday, calling on the Jewish people to refocus its energies from the past to finding solutions in the future.

"Now its time for new fresh solutions and now is a time for bold action, because the stakes are too high to do anything else," Lauder said.

"We can only find peace and security through our collective ingenuity," he said.

"It is not enough to be united, we must also decide to be solution-oriented," he said, expressing the need for a two-state solution with no pre-conditions that takes Israel's security needs into consideration.

"Peace is entirely possible if we will it and resolve to see it through," he said.
