Kadima chairwoman and opposition leader Tzipi Livni surprised her no. 2 in the party, MK Shaul Mofaz, when she showed up at a rally of Kadima activists and MKs in support of him at his succa outside his home in Kohav Yair. Livni and Mofaz hugged at the event in a show of party unity. But Mofaz's associates said she came in order to steal the spotlight away from him on a night in which hundreds of party activists and many MKs came to back him. Both Mofaz and Livni said at the event that Kadima would return to power soon.
