Livni slams Netanyahu for inactivity in face of isolation

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni on Monday slammed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for a lack of action in the face of harsh diplomatic realities and international isolation for Israel.
Speaking at a special Knesset session to discuss economic and political issues called during the summer recess, Livni said that in the face of diplomatic difficulties with the Palestinians, the Turks and the Egyptians, Netanyahu's position is that it is impossible to change the situation.
Livni stated that the United States "doesn't understand Israel's policies and doesn't know what Israel wants. I'm sorry to say - they don't believe the prime minister of Israel."
She said that Netanyahu's statements about being committed to a two-state solution and subsequent refusal to take any steps to realize that goal have aroused US suspicions of Netanyahu.
