Livni to Turkish CNN: Israel, Turkey must work on future

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni told Turkish CNN on Tuesday that it was now time for Israel and Turkey to talk about their futures, rather than be bogged down by past events. She added that the two countries ought to discuss their differences on a less emotional plane.
Livni blamed Hamas for causing the current crisis between Israel and Turkey, saying if Turkey desires peace in the region, it will not be with Hamas.
The opposition leader told CNN that Israel regrets the deaths of Turkish activists who were killed when IDF soldiers intercepted a Gaza-bound ship in may 2010, and said that though the Mavi Marmara event had finished, the crisis surrounding it continues.
She said that Turkey and Israel must stop any further deterioration in relations, as healthy ties serve in the best interests of the two countries.
