Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone on Sunday with French President Emmanuel Macron, who briefed him on his recent round of talks regarding the political crisis in Lebanon.
Macron met on Saturday with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, who arrived in France after his resignation earlier this month, which was submitted while on a visit to Saudi Arabia.
According to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office, the two leaders also discussed the Iranian nuclear deal and Tehran's attempts to establish its presence in Syria.
The two scheduled to meet in Paris at the beginning of next month.
