A 22-year-old Acre resident had both of his hands blown off and suffered critical stomach wounds on Monday when a bomb he was assembling exploded in the town's Old City, police said.
The explosion rocked Acre's Old City at about 2 p.m. When paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the wounded man lying in critical condition in a house full of smoke, with shrapnel wounds across his entire upper body.
The man was rushed to a Nahariya hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
A 17-year-old also suffered moderate injuries in the incident, police said.
