More time to be requested to file appeal in Hanegbi case

The state prosecution will ask the Jerusalem District Court, immediately after the lawyers' strike ends, to extend the deadline for the State's submission of an appeal on the acquittal of MK Tzahi Hanegbi from the political appointments charges against him, Israel Radio reported.

The Jerusalem District Attorney, Eli Abarbanel, noted that no appeal had been filed on the Hanegbi case solely because of the lawyers' strike.

Negotiations to end the strike between the Treasury and current striking state prosecutor representatives ended without any results Wednesday night.
