A thirty-year-old mother of three was found unconscious and suffering from multiple stab wounds in her home in the Galilee village of Nahaf on Monday morning.
Magen David Adom paramedics pronounced her death at the scene.
In a preliminary police investigation, signs of forced entry into the home were found.
The woman was discovered by her neighbor, who found her lying on the floor, unconscious and in a pool of blood with noticeable stab wounds to the neck area.
The victim's husband, who was at work at the time, was alerted and returned home.
"This was a normative family which had no previous entanglements with the police...we are checking into all possibilities as part of the investigation," Carmiel police said.
