Nefesh B'Nefesh opens prize nominations

The nomination period for the 2017 Sylvan Adams Nefesh B’Nefesh Bonei Zion Prize has officially opened. The $10,000 prize is given to extraordinary English-speaking immigrants who have a major impact on developing the State of Israel.
"After three successful years, Nefesh B’Nefesh has decided to adjust the prize categories to better emphasize the contributions made by younger olim who represent the future of the State of Israel as well as those who have dedicated their lives to properly represent the State of Israel on the international stage,"  NBN said in a statement.
"The winners will be selected by a prestigious panel of committee members, from six categories: Community and Nonprofit; Culture, Sports and Arts; Education; Science and Medicine; and the two updated categories, Israel Advocacy; and Young Leadership." 
Candidates must have made aliya from an English-speaking country, and nominations must be submitted by January 31, 2017, at: www.boneizion.org.il/nominate.  The recipients will be announced on May 8, 2017.
