Gaza is not closed for civilians, but there is a security closure in the Strip, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said in a closed conversation on Sunday, hours after his decision to ease the terms of the blockade on Gaza.

There is "no civilian blockade on Gaza, but only a security blockade," said Netanyahu.

Netanyahu continued to explain that the security blockade is now being strengthened now that Israels' allies around the world are supporting its conduct and the legitimacy of a continued security blockade against Hamas.
