Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday at a Likud faction meeting said that there is currently no offer from the US on the table that would grant Israel benefits in exchange for a reinstatement of the moratorium on West Bank settlement building. He added that the issue of the freeze is not being discussed at all.

Netanyahu also answered a question put forward by Likud MK Tzipi Hotovely about repeated Palestinian Authority statements claiming they would eventually go to international bodies to unilaterally declare a Palestinian state in the event that the peace talks are not renewed. The prime minister stated that such a unilateral action would enact a price from both sides and would not promote a solution to the conflict.
