Netanyahu thanks Putin for Russian aid in Carmel fire

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Friday spoke with Russian Prime Minister Vladmir Putin, and thanked him and his country for their assistance in the effort to control a deadly forest fire in the Carmel.

Netanyahu noted that the planes which Russia has dispatched to Isral are "the largest of their kind in the world," according to a statement. Putin expressed his condolences to the Israeli people for the massive loss of life.
