Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the opening day of the Knesset on Monday in honor of Herzl day, a day that celebrates Theodore Herzl, the visionary of the State of Israel.
Netanyahu addressed the recent protests by the Ethiopian community and declared that it is an issue that must be resolved.
"Ethiopian Jews began a journey by foot to Zion years before Herzl wrote of a Jewish State,"said Netanyahu. He emphasised that "Israel guarantees equality to all citizens regardless of religion, skin color or gender."
