Norwegian FM Brende applauds Kerry's Israel-Palestine and Iran efforts

WASHINGTON - The new Norwegian FM was welcomed by the US Secretary of State to Washington. Norway heads the AHLC group, the donor group for the Palestinian Authority. FM Brende applauded Kerry, saying that if he ".. personally hadn’t stepped up and also made sure that Mr. Abbas and Mr. Netanyahu came together, this would not have happened."

"Also on Iran, of course, this is the big issue. We support your leadership there and we hope that there will be a good deal for the world, because the alternatives, we do know they’re not good either."

Recently, Norway offered support with ships to transport chemical weapons out of Syria after rejecting a US request in October to help destroy Syria's chemical arms, claiming that the country was an unsuitable site.
