Obama says the world a better place with bin Laden dead

WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama said on Monday the world was a better place after the death of al Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.

Speaking at a ceremony at the White House, Obama said it was a good day for the country and that the United States had kept its commitment to see that justice was done.
