On board for second train lecture on science

The second free lecture by a senior Hebrew University scientist aboard an Israel Railways train will be held on Monday, February 1.
Passengers will be able to hear a talk by leading brain scientist Prof. Idan Segev of the department of neural computation on brain stimulation through the use of light rays.
It will be delivered on the train leaving the Tel Aviv University station for Haifa at 9.25 a.m., and again on the train leaving Haifa at 10.22 for the TAU station.
Segev is involved with the “Blue Brain” project, which is working on the development of a computer model to shed new light on the workings of the human brain.
The first HU train lecture, by Prof. Hanoch Gutfreund on the personal life of Albert Einstein, was delivered a few months ago and aroused much interest.
