Opposition group: Iran sanctions ineffective

BRUSSELS — An Iranian opposition group Thursday that sanctions would not stop Iran's government from pursing alleged plans to develop nuclear weapons.

Spokesman Shahin Gobadi said "the time has come for a firm policy on every aspect."The call came ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers on Monday, where the bloc is set to adopt sanctions against Iran's Revolutionary Guard and a number of companies allegedly involved in the nuclear program.
