Organized crime network discovered; 24 people arrested

Police on Wednesday revealed that in the past two months 24 people were arrested on suspicion of blackmailing business owners in Israel.

Police and state prosecutors intend to file charges against the suspects, among them senior mobsters in the country, for involvement in organized crime.

The suspects are accused of five attempted murders, assault, and extortion.
