Israel's air war by the numbers started with the now famous 40, 40, 40: 40 top Iranian officials killed by 40 bombs in the first 40 seconds of the war on February 28.
Since then, Israel has dropped around 12,000 bombs, including 3,600 within the Tehran region alone.
Five hundred forty fighter jet waves were sent to hit central and western Iran, and another 50 waves were sent to more distant parts of Iran, which collectively included 5,700 sorties.
In Lebanon, the air force has dropped 2,200 bombs on Hezbollah over the course of 1,000 sorties.
IDF ‘hunted’ 220 Hezbollah targets
Two hundred twenty of the Hezbollah targets required tracking and "hunting," whereas many of the other targets were static command centers or weapons storage positions.
In addition, 100 targets considered to be part of Hezbollah's overall war strength effort were attacked across Lebanon.
