PLO c'tee says direct talks conditional on freeze, borders

August 2, 2010 18:29

The PLO  praised Monday the Arab League's announcement that direct talks with Israel should be conditional on a moratorium on building in the West Bank and east Jerusalem and recognition of the 1967 borders as the basis for a two-state solution, Israel Radio reported.

PLO official Yasser Abed Rabbo added that these demands can guarantee the success of direct talks and without them being agreed to by Israel, negotiations will fail.
