Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that the source of the current conflict rests in the Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

Speaking from Wednesday's specially gathered Knesset plenum, the prime minister said that he is trying to build a framework for negotiations with Palestinians, and is ready to go with that framework to restart talks.

Netanyahu asked rhetorically if any MK could imagine talks with a group like Hamas who is bent on Israel's destruction.
