At least 100 Palestinians gathered in Beitunya just north of Jerusalem on Thursday, many of whom threw rocks at border police and soldiers stationed there, Israel Radio reported.

Soldiers tried to disperse the Palestinians, who were gathered to demonstrate in support of the some 1,600 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails who are on hunger strike protesting against Israeli practices towards Palestinian prisoners.
