Kadima MK Yohanan Plessner on Wednesday responded to Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan, who earlier at a Knesset discussion told him he was "acting like an Arab."

"It's very disheartening that the man that is supposed to represent Israel at the United Nations chooses to express himself in such a shameful way," said Plessner in a statement.

Plessner called on Erdan to retract his remarks.
