Police close Temple Mount in Jerusalem to visitors

The Jerusalem Police decided on Tuesday to close the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to visitors because of tensions at the site.

Jews marked the fast day of Tisha Be’av of Tuesday and thousands of Jews gathered at the Western Wall to mourn the destruction of the First and Second Temples, pray for the creation of a Third Temple. According to Jewish tradition, the Temple Mount is the site of these temples.
