A police forensics team is set to depart for Haiti on Friday morning to assist in the identification of casualties of the earthquakes on the island.
The team will be led by Ch.-Insp. Dr. Zipi Kahana, a forensics expert, as well as finger prints expert FSM Ze'ev Segel, and other experts.
Four members of the team took part in identification efforts during the 2004 Tsunami disaster in Asia.
The team will be equipped with tools to allow for a comparison of teeth and fingerprint samples taken from bodies.
