An Egyptian protester on Friday night succeeded in removing the flag from the Israeli embassy atop a Cairo high-rise building after protesters destroyed a protective wall outside the building.

After Friday prayers, thousands had converged on Tahrir Square, the epicenter of the protests that toppled Mubarak, for what was billed as "Correcting the Path" protests.
