Ramat Gan Mayor Tzvi Bar was indicted on Thursday on suspicion of accepting bribes, money laundering and income tax fraud, police reported.
According to police sources, for years Bar had been under investigation, which ended recently when police found enough proof to indict him.
Police said that Bar had accepted bribes in order to promote real estate in the city.
