Report: Egypt military says it will hold referendum

Egypt's ruling Higher Military Council announced on Monday that it is to hold a referendum on constitutional amendments within two months, paving the way to democratic elections, Reuters reported.

Wael Ghonim said on his Facebook page that he and seven other activists involved in protests that brought down Hosni Mubarak met two members of the council on Sunday evening.
