Hamas and the Gaza Strip will not react to the recent ouster of Egypt's Islamist President Mohamed Morsi, according to Chinese news agency Xinhua.

An anonymous Hamas official reportedly said the situation in Egypt is "dangerous," however, adding " it won't influence the situation in the Gaza Strip," even though both Hamas and Morsi are associated with the Muslim Brotherhood movement."Hamas movement didn't lose anything when (former Egyptian president) Hosni Mubarak was ousted and it won't lose anything when Morsi is ousted," the Hamas source told Xinhua, and also expressed hope that stability will resume in Egypt.
