Israel is planning to permanently station a submarine carrying nuclear cruise missiles in the Persian Gulf, the Sunday Times reported on Sunday.

The UK newspaper claimed that the Israeli government has decided to permanently keep one of its three  submarines capable of delivering a nuclear strike off the Iranian coast of the Persian Gulf as a result of the continuing expansion of the missile threat from Iran, Syria and Hizbullah.
