The body of an Israeli man washed ashore in Egyptian territory near the city of Rafah on Thursday, Army Radio reported on Friday.
According to the report, the Egyptians found documents on the body identifying the man as an Israeli citizen. Egyptian security officials believe the man drowned in Israeli waters and his body then floated south, eventually coming ashore in Egypt.
The Foreign Ministry was working to have the man's body returned to Israel, according to Army Radio.
