Report: US National Security Adviser Jones to resign

US National Security Adviser Jim Jones has told President Barack Obama that he will resign from his position, The Wall Street Journal reported an administration official as saying on Friday.

According to the report, Jones will be replaced by his deputy, Tom Donilon.Jones resignation is the latest in a wave of departures from the White House staff, most notably chief of staff Rahm Emanuel earlier this month.
