In the northern Israel holy town of Safed, the municipality announced school closures on Friday, in light of the renewed inclement weather and as snow accumulated in the Upper Galilee. Temperatures continued to drop on Friday falling to below freezing in certain regions. Roads to the northern town were also shut down.
