Second bomb explodes near Tel Aviv businessman; suspected intimidation campaign

A bomb exploded near the Tel Aviv home of businessman, Meir Shamir, 65, Tuesday night.
This is the second explosion near Shamir, who is the CEO of Mivtach Shamir Holdings and chairman of the Israeli Taglit Society. Police are investigating the explosions as a possible intimidation campaign.
Police said an explosive device was detonated near Shamir's home in the Tzahala neighborhood around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday. This comes as a bomb exploded near Shamir's car in a Ramat Hachayal parking lot two weeks ago.
It is unclear if the explosions are attempts to assassinate the CEO or simply to intimidate him. Shamir hold large stakes in Israeli dairy company Tnuva and Bank Hapoalim.
