Israel's stubbornness and hesitations about releasing a large number of Palestinian prisoners is preventing progress in a deal to free captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, Mohammed Nazal, a senior member of Hamas' exiled political leadership based in Damascus, said Sunday. In an interview with Hizbullah's Al-Manar television, Nazal said that though there had been progress in negotiations, Israel's doubts meant that no one could say when a deal would be finalized.
