The Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court on Thursday convicted serial rapist Benny Sela for escaping from prison over five years ago.

Sela, 41-years-old, is serving a 35-year sentence for the rape and sodomy of 13 women.

Separately, the court acquitted Sela on the count of attacking an officer, and instead convicted him of the less serious crime of resisting arrest.
