Shin Bet official resigns amid claims of improper behavior

A senior Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) official resigned after a complaint was lodged claiming he attempted to promote a female employee he was having an affair with, Channel 2 reported on Saturday.
According to the report, the complaint was lodged earlier this week, after which the official was asked to go on leave while an investigation into the allegations took place. The official subsequently tendered his resignation.
