Police are investigating a suspicious car near New York City's Union Square.

The car was spotted Thursday night not far from the Union Square subway station, where several lines connect. Police say two gas cans were seen in the back of the car.

The area has been blocked off. The bomb squad and Emergency Service Unit are investigating.
